Quick Update
Greetings!
I apologize for the time it has taken to post since our last update. I spent the better part of a week in Seattle at EDUCAUSE and then a few days the following week going through "train-the-trainer training" up in Sioux Falls. That said, all of our primary support staff have been through training and we have begun the process of preparing for D2L training sessions here at USD.
Earlier this week we had a SDBOR D2L Steering Committee meeting where we finalized the layout of the course template all courses will be using in D2L. Much of this was driven by the quality assurance process the EUC has been using over the past two years, but also by direct faculty feedback. It provides a standardization not realized within WebCT, but will still have each university's branding and allow for the instructor to customize areas to suit their different needs. Once the template receives final BOR approval, I'll post a screen shot here.
We have a USD D2L Implementation Committee meeting tomorrow, where we will largely be discussing the details of our migration plan. I will post more information either tomorrow afternoon or Tuesday.
