VLP Reading & Poetry Slam April 28

April 22, 2011 by English

Please join us Thursday, April 28, at 7-9 p.m. in the Muenster University Center (MUC) Pit Lounge on the University of South Dakota-Vermillion campus, for the last Vermillion Literary Project Reading & POETRY SLAM of the semester! This will be the launch & unveiling of the 2011 VLP
magazine, Dreaming Up a Past. Our featured readers will be some of the
magazine’s contributors, as well as some of the 2011 USD English
Department Creative Writing undergrad and grad student award-winners.
The readings will be followed by a poetry slam open to anyone. Slam poets should bring three original poems—prizes will be awarded. For information about poetry slams, see http://orgs.usd.edu/projlit/poetryslams.html. Other questions? Contact Marcella Remund, VLP Faculty Advisor, mremund-AT-usd.edu.
