Getting Noticed a Little More than I Like

In a pursuit to unveil the identity of a mysterious stalker, I discovered just how sought after I am.  My blogs have directed both wanted and unwanted attention my way.

The Hunted

Today, when I got home from my daily run-a-rounds I elected to lay down for a nap.  I took the phone with me on the off chance that work might call me.  I was no more than ready to doze off and my phone rang. The number listed was 0.  Assuming it was my cellphone company or something, I answered with the usual hello.  After a brief pause came, "Hello... is this J Bethke, Jesse Bethke.  Jesse is it you?"  As if the man on the other end was quiet surprised by the opportunity to speak with me.

I'd concluded now that it must be a client from work, so I responded with a "Yes, what can I do for you?"

Family Guy- Creepy Old Man

After some pause came, "Hi, this is Someone (I'm censuring the name).  I just wanted to know how you were doing."   This individual didn't give me his real name, it was his screen name.  I recognized it as someone that has been attempting to contact me over the past couple of weeks.  Bewildered and scared that an internet stalker had actually looked up my cellphone number and called me, I hung up.  I've made some attempt to track him down, but I'm not 100% sure where he found me.  At this point, I don't think he has any ill intentions.  However, I tend to be overly trusting in people.

Besides, it's not the first time I've been stalked and certainly not the most bizarre attempt.  With having been randomly and uninvitingly pinned against walls, locked in rooms, slapped on the ass, groped, and followed home by my fair share of seemingly harmless yet horny sexual predators, I easily shrugged this phone call off as a mere intrigue.

I don't really consider myself a highly attractive individual, but I seem to get my fair share of propositions from both men and woman alike.  Having actually stopped to reflect on it, I wonder if young women have to deal with this frequently.

The Sought

On a brighter note, a blogger at http://rollerweblogger.org has taken notice of some of the templates I've made available. Their article also mentions USD's Apache Roller deployment.  I also randomly discovered that my blog is featured as 1 of 7 points of interest in an Apache Roller presentation from Raibel Designs.  The spark of interest has fueled me to resume development on a couple more Roller themes I've been working on.  They are both extremely sexy and will blow the existing stuff out of the water.

Comments:

Jesse you know you are the boy that all the creepy old men seek after.

You know what Jesse? My guess is that it was most likely some psyc-op experiment from the covert 'spook world' testing your pre-frontal lobe reactivity and guaging your behavioral schema for possible recruitment into the black ops world.

Creepy! Too bad it wasn't a foxy woman! That's the kind of stalking any man could deal with!

Creepy weird. I have my phone number everywhere and nobody calls me.

Did I mention this guy claims to be from China? However, he seems to speak and write English well enough.

wow, didn't realize that the blog deployment was mentioned in a roller newsletter, I guess I should start googling my name more often :) and kudos on the themes, definitely blows away the stock junk they supply.
