Life as a toaster
This actually has nothing to do with toasters. It has to do with a far more embarassing subject: internet dating. I signed up and put out my profile on a site. I know I am a loser, but I was hoping to meet someone who has a brain... found out that in the month I have been on this site, no one does. I included (rather obviously) the name of my actual e-mail address in the info at the end. Only one response to my e-mail... this means one of two things: eighther there are alot of stupid people out there or all that bull about "about me" type sections doesnt mean shit because no one is reading them. I had some really funny guy e-mail me on the site, and his entire profile makes fun of other people's profiles. In a way it was all true! He has some really good shit. A couple commentaries were about how the phrase "loves to laugh" was included... duh. If you hate laughing , you are probably in need of a psychiatrist. Also "spontaneous and fun" wow. Then why does your spontaneous fun profile sound just like all the other carbon copies out there? These generalizations about people are great, but I have found the more interesting ones to be the more specific. I have also concluded the need for the general population to take writing classes. There are more creative ways of expressing yourself. About 80% of the profiles I have come across read like this I am a nice guy with a good body who wants an attractive lady. I like to go out and have fun. I like to watch sports. I have a good job and want kids someday. It is a bonus if she "cooks, cleans, waxes the car with her tounge, etc" I mean... wow. Would you want to meet this person? If you do i am sorrry but I need to inform you your expectations of a guy have hit bottom. If this is all someone has to say about themselves what the hell are you going to talk about? I have dated several of "this guy" and if you have half a brain this guy will bore you to death give or take a couple weeks depending on the fascinations of his body. If you are satisfied with that... then go out and hunt for the other half of your brain. I, personally, am not happy with "settling" and continue to demand more from the male population. My rant is done. I am getting worked up.
