Great Big Pile of Dirt
What's up everybody? I thought I would post something non-political today. First of all, congratulations to ValPancakes for overtaking Bethke's blog. Our blog (usddems) has been eyeing the #1 spot all summer from the #2 or #3 spot but we've never quite overtaken him to the best of my knowledge.
Also, I was driving down Cherry St. today and I noticed construction work at the CSC. Then I got to thinking... when did they tear the CSC down? Wasn't it last fall? And after a whole year and a bunch of construction equipment the CSC is now a pile of dirt. Great work USD. I'm glad to see the pile of dirt constructed so quickly-- I thought it would take 2 or 3 years to turn all that into a giant pile of dirt. Anyway.
I was reading an interesting article on the Washington Post website about how the Republican presidential candidates have to court right-wing positions that are untenable in a national election. Among the gems? Apparently John McCain supports the (failed) South Dakota abortion ban that outlaws abortion even in the case of incest and rape. Whoa! I remember a few years ago when I thought that president McCain would be reasonable and acceptable. But now it looks like that guy took a turn for the worst-- I'd vote for my dog over him.
Thank you. I was really excited about that. However, he's beating me currently. :(
Also, I would vote for your dog before McCain.

Someone counted their hits to quickly. Before the sun had risen that day, my blog had reclaimed the #1 spot. As of 2007-08-15 @ 10:28PM, the blog has over 100 hits more than the runner up.
