Hilarious: Stephen Colbert to Run for President
Stephen Colbert, of Daily Show and Colbert Report fame, has announced that he is running for president last night on his show. I'm going to HAVE to catch the rerun for that today.
Apparently he is only planning on running in his home state of South Carolina. Here was a good quote:
"After nearly 15 minutes of soul-searching, I have heard the call….I am hereby declaring that I will enter the presidential primary in my native South Carolina, running as a favorite son," Colbert said on his show Tuesday night. "I defy any other candidate to pander more to the people of South Carolina — those beautiful, beautiful people."
Hilarious. I wonder if he'll actually appear on the ballot and if it'll make an impact on any of the real candidates. If you don't watch his show already you should tune in at Comedy Central Mon-Thurs at 10:30 PM. Great stuff.
