Great news from the Johnson people. Senator Johnson is planning to return to South Dakota in Sioux Falls on August 28th. Currently, there is a plan for a welcome home celebration for the Senator. According to the Argus, they do not have a venue yet for the event.

We of course will let you know where the event is the second we find out.

This is exciting news for South Dakota.  Not only have we been without a Senator, but a good friend as well. It is no secret that Johnson works hard for this state.  During his rehabilitation period, he continued to work for South Dakota:

"Working from home, he pushed his priorities on appropriations legislation and other bills this spring and summer. Notably, he fought for more money to build water projects such as the Lewis & Clark Regional Water System that will serve Sioux Falls and more than 200,000 people in South Dakota, Minnesota and Iowa."

Undoubtedly, it'll be great to see him back on the Senate floor but even moreso to see him back in South Dakota.
